The new "Tango Lilies." Very recently, a whole new race of lilies has been introduced. They are Asiatic Hybrids, so they bloom in early summer on strong stems shorter than the Orientals, but they're different from the old Asiatic Hybrids we all know. These new ones (called "Tangolily" in Holland) have larger flowers than the older Asiatics, and best of all, a whole new look---with fascinating spots in a contrast color on the throat of each bloom. While many lilies have always had "splotches" of a second color, these are the first with a complete contrast color area made up completely of the "spatter of spots." Many gardeners think these are the most beautiful lilies of all. They're also spectacular for cutting.
